Yuengling Lager

Looking for a new promotional idea for the gift shop and point of sales distributors, the buyer at Yuengling Brewery, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania asked our representative to develop a custom woven Yuengling Lager tapestry afghan. All that was supplied to our graphic artist was an actual bottle of lager beer and a paper map of Schuylkill County, PA. As you can see, the end product says it all. This item was a very popular product, along with future sales to Yuengling of the Yuengling Dogs tapestry throw blanket and a 175th Anniversary tapestry afghan commemorating 175 years of Yuengling as America's Oldest Brewery.

Telford Fire Company

A referral becomes a great gift! The anniversary committee of the Telford Fire Company in Telford, Pennsylvania was looking for a personalized gift for its members and past members in celebration of the Fire Company's l00th Anniversary. Members had toured Yuengling Brewery and loved the look and texture of their Yuengling Dog Afghan, and inquired about who produced the custom woven afghan. They were referred to our representative and were presented with the opporutnity of creating a custom Telford Fire Company afghan as a great gift idea.

Because the Telford Fire Company Committee liked the quality of our custom sewn afghans the best and also had felt that our representative understood how to create exactly what they wanted, they felt that our representative was best suited to help them to develop their custom afghan. Keeping in mind that the fact that red is one of the hardest colors to weave, as we were working with Fire Trucks in the afghan, we were elated when the volunteer committee was happy with the custom woven l00th anniversary Telford Fire Company afghan. We have received referrals through this sale also.

Fundraiser: Frackville, PA 125th Anniversary Afghan

The 125th Anniversary Committee of the Borough Of Frackville, PA was looking for something unique to not only raise money but to commemorate its 125th anniversary. Many fundraisers were being held to raise enough money to hold a large parade, a Youth Day, a salute to the veterans, etc. Frackville made the commitment to create an anniversary tapestry afghan for the town depicting the older buildings with historic value. By the time that the committee received the custom sewout for their inspection, orders were already in hand for 100 pieces. Knowing this, the committee decided to order 250 to start. With the sample tapestry throw being displayed in a local store front, the 250 pieces were sold before they arrived!!

The committee realized a profit of approximately $20.00 per afghan. In all, the total sales of these custom afghans was over 500 pieces. 0VER $10,000 WAS RAISED BY THE SALE OF THESE CUSTOM WOVEN ANNIVERSARY AFGHANS!!
